The Erasmus+, KA2 project “participART: ART AND CULTURE FOR YOUTH ENGAGEMENT IN LOCAL COMMUNITIES” has successfully started with a Kick-off meeting! It took place from 22nd – 25th of October in Valladolid, Spain.
This meeting was the opportunity for the project coordinators from 4 involved organizations to have a residential meeting. Something that for a long time was impossible due to the covid-19 pandemic. Coordinators were coming from all 4 involved organizations: Stranaidea (Italy), Kalnciema quarter (Latvia), La Candela Teatro y Comunidad and Fundación Splora from Spain.
As the aim of the project is to create synergy between Art, Theater, Participation and Urban Community development by empowering local organizations and young people, then involved organizations were representing all these different fields. We are excited to build bridges between these fields to boost the creative growth of our communities.
During the meeting there was dedicated time for proper team building among involved coordinators as well as to work on all relevant project management issues: overall plan, upcoming project activities, budget, agreements among partners etc.
Besides that, as the Splora foundation was very excited to host this first project meeting, then the volunteers of the foundation organized a special meeting moment between involved partners and volunteers of Splora. During the meeting various interactive activities were organized to get to know each other’s cities and organizations. The event was finalized by common lunch time and sharing a very tasty paella.
This KA2 good practice exchange project is co – funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union.
