La Candela Teatro y Comunidad is an NGO composed of a transdisciplinary group of professionals from the educational field, the performing arts and social work that uses social theater as a way to promote the empowerment and transformation of people, groups and the society. It promotes education, awareness, and citizen participation through art and culture. It collaborates with various social and educational entities such as Secondary Education Institutes, Universities, NGOs, foundations and public administrations.

The areas of intervention include: adolescents from urban environments at risk of substance use, people with disabilities, education for development and global citizenship, prevention of gender violence among young people, promotion of equality, prevention of Islamophobia and racism, mental health, management of coexistence in schools, training of professionals, social participation of young people.
